Are You Eligible to Vote?

Your name must be in the Voter List (Electoral Roll) to vote. Verify your name by logging on to electoralsearch.eci.gov.in or calling the Voter Helpline 1950 (add your STD code before dialling).

Who are the Candidates?

Visit the Candidate Affidavit Portal or download the Voter Helpline App (Android/iOS) to see the list of candidates. The data is updated as affidavits are filed by candidates.

Where is Your Polling Booth?

Find your polling booth at electoralsearch.eci.gov.in or use the Voter Helpline App. Alternatively, call the Voter Helpline 1950 (add your STD code before dialling).

Voting Rules

Remember, mobile phones, cameras or any other gadgets are not allowed inside a polling booth. Make sure to leave them at home or in your vehicle.

How to Vote in Person?

• First polling official checks your name and ID.
• Second official inks your finger, gives you a slip, takes your signature.
• Deposit the slip at the third official, show your inked finger, proceed to the booth.
• Record your vote on the EVM, check the slip in the VVPAT machine.
• Press NOTA if you don't like any candidate.
